Nature’s recipe
The design I chose was the A watercolor guide to culinary herbs poster. The design of the poster appealed to me because I enjoy the outdoors, and I find things like how herbs and other naturally grown objects can affect the human body. In this poster there are several different herbs that have been water colored onto a white canvas. The herbs on the canvas represent twelve separate plants that can be find naturally that can also be used in a recipe. Some of these herbs are used in food we see every day like basil and rosemary which are most often added in pizza. The actual design and painting of each herb is interesting and not names the plant that is pictured but also shows exactly what it looks like. The painting includes the stem as well as the color and shape of the leaves. The point of this design made by the composer, was to bring information to an audience that loves plant life and more that the outdoors offers, and the composer did an amazing job with his or her description. People would share this design because it’s amazing to look at and it provides great information on how many herbs are used in everyday food.
